OVERLAY IN WORLD OF WARCRAFT
Go to Configure -> Settings
On the left colomn, click OVERLAY.
Make sure ENABLE OVERLAY is ticked.
Then Click the RED DOT on the right screen... Drag it to where you want to place it.
With your cursor still over the RED DOT.. scroll your mouse wheel (up and down) to resize it.
With your cursor still over the RED DOT.. "Right Click" your mouse to bring up Filter Options.
There are the recommend filter options. With "Only Talking Ticked" and nothing else.
You will need to restart World of Warcraft before the Overlay will work. In some cases Mumble must be running before World of warcraft is loaded up.
There are many other advanced features if you want to experiment with yourself.
How to ensure your Mumble Overlay is always available in World of Warcraft
- In Mumble, go to the top menu and find Configuration -> Settings and Click Overlay the left menu.
- Click the “Overlay Exceptions” tab
- Click the Whitelist button
- Then click the Add button at the bottom. Then Find your World of warcraft exe file. (wow.exe)
- Then "OK" to save, then you are all done!.
- As always ensure Mumble is loaded up before you load up World of warcraft.

- In Mumble, go to the top menu and find Configuration -> Settings and Click Overlay the left menu.
- Ensure there is a Tick in the "Advanced" Box
- Click the “Overlay Exceptions” tab
- Click the Whitelist button
- Then click the Add button at the bottom. Then Find your World of warcraft exe file. (wow.exe)
- Then "OK" to save, then you are all done!.
- As always ensure Mumble is loaded up before you load up World of warcraft.
